Today is a special post I want to share with all of you. After looking outside my window and seeing my house surrounded by snow, I’m in a mood to escape to Paradise (in this case my Honeymoon in Bora Bora) and I’m taking you all along with me for the ride.
After three months of planning the intricate details of our wedding, my partner and I went for some R&R in what I believe is a slice right out of heaven – Bora Bora
What made him choose this location for our honeymoon?
Well if you meet up with my partner, first thing you will notice is he likes everything to be ‘Epic’, so natural for him he searched ‘Epic Honeymoon Destination’ and Bora Bora showed up repeatedly in search results. It didn’t take him long for him to start calling the Four Seasons (rated the BEST PLACE TO STAY when visiting Bora Bora and the BEST RESORT IN THE WORLD) for our Bora Bora honeymoon.
Here is a collection of pictures of our six day stay at the Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora.
Warning: This collection was put together from +9000 pictures and 112GB of GoPro Video Footage. So expect LOTS of pictures
Bright and sunny! See I told you the weather will get better!
Shuttle ride to breakfast with some music played by the hubs!
View on the back seat of the shuttle. Gorgeousness!
Buffet Breakfast. I’m going to need my energy for today’s activities!
Guests and staff are so friendly, they offered to take a picture of us.
Saw this scene, had to take a picture. Doesn’t it look like a postcard?
Have you seen the water so blue….or sand so white?
View from our deck!
You can view various types of fish in the Four Seasons lagoon (I have so many pictures of them it’s not funny!)
Spot you can rest, relax, sun bathe and go snorkeling in the resort lagoon. The staff are super nice that they replace your wet towels with dry ones immediately.
Lagoon wraps around for good snorkeling fun
I see snorkelers checking out the mini reefs around the Chapel (and yes, there was a wedding going on there at the time!)
Walking back to the room after swimming at the resorts infinity pool…
Only to be greeted with a clean room, fresh fruits with a decadent sauce and drink on ice to beat the heat. I’m feeling the Love Four Seasons Resort!
Ready for dinner on the main island at Bloody Mary’s
Off to Bloody Marys for Dinner! I don’t know about you but I’m starving from all that swimming and snorkeling!
Everything here is fresh!
Bloody Mary’s Famous Guests….who do you spot in the list?
Off for some snorkeling fun and swimming with black tipped shark with our guide – John (our private tour guide)
I spy with my little eye snorkelers. Let’s join them!
Snorkelling in the coral reef. Something tells me I have caught the attention of it’s inhabitants.
My first time trying to fish while we jet off to John’s private island
Guardian of John’s Island
Dine on the island….or
on the water…decisions, decisions! Which would you choose?
Back on the Four Seasons Resort and admiring their flowers. The Island is covered with this that you just can’t help but pluck one and put it in your hair…
Dinner at Ari Mona (Yes the food was that amazing that we realized we didn’t take a picture until we hit food coma).
I have never seen the night sky so clear, there wasn’t just a dozen of stars to see…there were thousands that we slept with the shutters open watching the stars.
The day always started out amazing. This is what our view was at 6:15am (yes, it may not be bright but it’s 6:15am…give it 6:45am and the place is bright sunshine birds chirping fish swimming around your bungalow gorgeous). I think Four Seasons Bora Bora has officially made me a morning person!
Private Helicopter Tour of the Island
View of Four Seasons Resort (Bungalow 100′s and 200′s)
Shot of our Bungalow and the main desk for Four Seasons Resort
Bora Bora Airport (not ready to go back)…greeting its new visitors with paradise and turquoise water
Do some shopping on the mainland for local artifacts…or pearls!
Getting my Yoga on…on our private deck!
Off for breakfast with my favourite maxi dress by Lilly Pulitzer (No makeup, but someones got a serious tan…)
Found this little guy on our way for breakfast one day…
Going to need a hearty breakfast to start the day the ‘right way’
The selections they offered is AMAZING!!!
Working off breakfast by walking around the compounds….
….and lounging in their infinity pool…
…and then off to feed the fish in their lagoon (the local staff were super friendly giving me a bag of stale bread to feed the fish)..
Yup, they even like the bread made by the Four Seasons (I don’t blame them!)
Just got an amazing Hot Stone massage from…
this young lady (I went to her twice because she has amazing hands that relaxed my neck after the long flight to Bora Bora)…
some relaxation….before I catch my flight out
My partner and I loved our stay so much that we are already planning on coming back for our fifth anniversary. This place gave us just what we need to relax after three months of stressful planning and execution of our wedding. Highly recommend not only going to Bora Bora but if you do, you MUST stay at the Four Seasons Resort.
The staff are super friendly, everything is very convenient, and well with the first two – it’s no surprise that all the folks that visit the place are in a super happy friendly mood. There is no lineups to deal with for anything, no pushing or shoving to go somewhere, no stress.
If you are planning on visiting Bora Bora, the best time I recommend is in June/July (that’s when we went). It is the most priciest but the weather is in perfect condition that you will spend most of your time outdoors exploring the island.
If you are however tight on budget and want to visit the island nonetheless, December/January is the time to go since prices are slashed down by nearly 35% BUT it is the rainy season so expect very minimal sunshine and running from one hut to another to stay dry! No matter what time you go, I highly recommend you staying at the Four Seasons Bora Bora Resort.
I don’t know about you but I feel like I need another escape to paradise. What do you recommend? Please feel free to share below your recommendations and links to your escape to paradise!!!
Thank you for stopping by!
