Escape to Paradise – Bora Bora

Today is a special post I want to share with all of you. After looking outside my window and seeing my house surrounded by snow, I’m in a mood to escape to Paradise (in this case my Honeymoon in Bora Bora) and I’m taking you all along with me for the ride.

======================================

After three months of planning the intricate details of our wedding, my partner and I went for some R&R in what I believe is a slice right out of heaven  – Bora Bora

What made him choose this location for our honeymoon?

Well if you meet up with my partner, first thing you will notice is he likes everything to be ‘Epic’, so natural for him he searched ‘Epic Honeymoon Destination’ and Bora Bora showed up repeatedly in search results. It didn’t take him long for him to start calling the Four Seasons (rated the BEST PLACE TO STAY when visiting Bora Bora and the BEST RESORT IN THE WORLD) for our Bora Bora honeymoon.

Here is a collection of pictures of our six day stay at the Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora.

Warning: This collection was put together from +9000 pictures and 112GB of GoPro Video Footage. So expect LOTS of pictures

Enjoy!!

I have never seen the night sky so clear, there wasn’t just a dozen of stars to see…there were thousands that we slept with the shutters open watching the stars.

The day always started out amazing. This is what our view was at 6:15am (yes, it may not be bright but it’s 6:15am…give it 6:45am and the place is bright sunshine birds chirping fish swimming around your bungalow gorgeous). I think Four Seasons Bora Bora has officially made me a morning person!

some relaxation….before I catch my flight out

My partner and I loved our stay so much that we are already planning on coming back for our fifth anniversary. This place gave us just what we need to relax after three months of stressful planning and execution of our wedding. Highly recommend not only going to Bora Bora but if you do, you MUST stay at the Four Seasons Resort.

The staff are super friendly, everything is very convenient, and well with the first two – it’s no surprise that all the folks that visit the place are in a super happy friendly mood. There is no lineups to deal with for anything, no pushing or shoving to go somewhere, no stress.

If you are planning on visiting Bora Bora, the best time I recommend is in June/July (that’s when we went). It is the most priciest but the weather is in perfect condition that you will spend most of your time outdoors exploring the island.
If you are however tight on budget and want to visit the island nonetheless, December/January is the time to go since prices are slashed down by nearly 35% BUT it is the rainy season so expect very minimal sunshine and running from one hut to another to stay dry! No matter what time you go, I highly recommend you staying at the Four Seasons Bora Bora Resort.

I don’t know about you but I feel like I need another escape to paradise. What do you recommend? Please feel free to share below your recommendations and links to your escape to paradise!!!

Thank you for stopping by!

XOXO

I just checked. My goodness. Get this: US$ 3,006 per NIGHT.

For 6 days you must have spent what?? 18,000 USD.

Can you double-check with your husband?? It’s just outrageous.

I think I am switching to Maldives. 🙂

          Hi Rohan

That price point looks like you were looking at the beach villas, not their over the water bungalows. Their beach villas is meant to accommodate families (3 bedrooms) , unlike their overwater bungalow is designed just for couples.
Their cheapest unit is the beach view over water bungalow and they start around 1660 us during peak season.
If you have any more questions and inquiries, please feel free to email me directly ☺️

By the way, can I get your actual email address. GMail told me that the email address you entered does not exist and I’d love to help out.
Maldives is a great location too and I might visit there one day.

    • July 20, 2016 / 4:17 pm

There are so many activities you can do in Bora Bora (all of it is listed in the post). There is also the main island you can visit to see the locals and shop for local items.
