When it comes to my skin, I take great care in what I choose to use and am a firm believer that you need to pay close attention to what products you use and that you constantly need to modify them depending on your environment and season. With summer behind us, and my skin suddenly exposed to cold and dry conditions, it’s time to update my skin care by introducing thermal therapy.
VICHY MINERALIZING THERMAL WATER
This was the product that started it all for me. During summer, I got a slight sunburn and was dealing with dry peeling skin around my forehead and nose.
One of my friends recommended this mineralizing thermal spray and it is honestly amazing. The content inside this little canister comes from a long and slow journey through the volcanoes of the Auvergne where the water is transformed and charged with minerals before returning to the surface. The result, the water is highly mineralized, pure and beneficial for any skin type. And because this product is from VICHY, you know they have thoroughly tested it on sensitive skin.
I am going to admit, before I got my hands on all three of the facial masks below I rarely ever used a face mask. The only time I ever used a face mask was when I went to the spa with my girlfriends, basically once in six-to-nine months. Even then, I always had trouble telling the esthetician what kind of skin I had because my face had various issues – large pores, dull skin, and dry spots. With VICHY’s MINERAL MASKS, I got my hands on all three masks that can address all of my skin issues at once.
VICHY PORE PURIFYING CLAY MASK
Let’s be transparent, I have an insane amount of large pores literally covering my nose and forehead. One of the biggest problems I have is clogged pores and dull skin tone, and let’s not forget that this area of skin tends to be quite oily. I have tried everything to minimize the size of these pores but nothing worked up until I got my hands on this magic mineral clay. The mask is incredibly thick and packed with remineralizing thermal water, kaolins & bentonite clays and aloe vera – all the ingredients you need to minimize your pores, unclog them and hydrate your skin. Talk about a trifecta of solutions in one!
I am hooked on this clay based mask, and use it twice a week to help regulate the excess sebum around my forehead and jawline. In the last six weeks, I have noticed a significant change in complexion in the areas I applied the mask. These areas glowed and were clear after leaving the mask on for 5 min.
VICHY QUENCHING MINERAL MASK
In Fall and Winter, one of the biggest problems I have is dry skin. The areas around my cheeks get so bad that it’s embarrassing to see my skin flake. I needed something that was intensely hydrating without leaving an oily residue on my skin, plus it wouldn’t hurt if it was multi-functional like evening my skin tone, leaving my skin smooth and supple…and maybe smelling amazing at the same time. The VICHY Quenching Mineral Mask is perfect in helping me hydrate my skin with an instant cooling effect on my skin that leaves my skin feel soft and fresh. Just five minutes of this cooling gel and you can feel the remineralizing thermal water, vitamin B3 and hydrating glycerine work its magic by hydrating and rebalancing my skin.
VICHY DOUBLE GLOW PEEL MASK
One of the masks I now use often is this one right here, the Vichy Double Glow Peel Mask. I love how my skin looks radiant and luminous right after I use it. It has the perfect mix of AHA, Volcanic Rock (yup!), and Vitamin CH + Mannose that helps gently exfoliate my skin to remove the dead skin lurking at the surface, remove any impurities hanging out and brighten while hydrating my skin at the same time. This is the mask I use hours before I go for a blog shoot because I love how smooth the surface of my skin is when I apply makeup AND I don’t need to apply much because my skin is positively glowing and even.
