SWEETEST SUMMER WITH MINI ME

Aveeno Sun, Aveeno SunscreenMy skincare routine is constantly evolving.

In fact, if you take a closer look at my daily skincare regimen, you’ll notice I have a few extra cleansers floating around. Recently, I started double cleansing to make sure I removed all traces of makeup. The reason why this is important is for another story, but one thing that will never change in my skincare routine is making sure I have sunscreen available.

Sunscreen is, after all, the holy grail when it comes to protecting your skin from harmful UVA/UVB rays. It’s also my secret to anti-aging.

I have a few sunscreens bottles floating around my home at all times, probably because we spend four to five days a week on our deck or playing around the grass. Trust me, staying home is driving us bonkers! So anytime the twins and I get a chance to go play around outside or just soak in some much needed Vitamin D, I jump at the opportunity.

My skin has always been sensitive. Anytime I apply sunscreen, I feel like my skin can’t breathe. After a few days, I have these weird bumps that appear around my elbows, knees, and worst place to ever get bumps…my armpits.

For the last few years, I’ve been an Aveeno Ambassador because I love their skincare products, especially their Positively Radiant line! During the early days of my ambassadorship, I discovered that they have an amazing line of sunscreen for the whole family. They have a line to help nourish and hydrate your skin while protecting it from those pesky UVA/UVB rays. They have a line for babies to protect their sensitive skin, a line that I used until they launched a line for sensitive skin for adults.

Their broad spectrum SPF 50 is a mineral-based sunscreen that’s: light, hydrating, combines with naturally-sourced 100% zinc oxide and nourishing oats making it perfect for my sensitive skin. I love that it’s not greasy and dries sheer, making it perfect to apply makeup on.

I’ve been using Aveeno sunscreen because, like all their other products, they use nourishing oats as one of their main ingredients. This helps restore and maintain the skin’s moisture barrier to help protect it from drying out. Colloidal oatmeal is an ingredient trusted and recommended by dermatologists if you suffer from dry skin (like me).

For the last few months, I’ve been using this line of sunscreen for sensitive skin, correction, slathering it on to protect my skin from the harmful rays while we experience a heatwave practically every day. You could say I basically tested the limits of my sunscreen. Thankfully, even though we have had temperatures ranging from 35 – 42 degrees, my sunscreen has constantly put up an invisible shield to protect my skin.

Yes I got a tan because sunscreen doesn’t protect you from getting a tan, it just protects your skin from harmful rays – that’s all. Well, not this one from Aveeno, this one from Aveeno hydrates and nourishes your skin.

If you want to spend your time outside soaking in some sun, either at the beach or in my case on your deck, and you want a sunscreen that dries sheer – the sensitive skin line of sunscreen from Aveeno is one I highly recommend you try.
