The Chair on the Wall

Khaki Jacket, Jumpsuit, Wall chairstyle blogger, toronto bloggerPart of taking pictures for my blog is finding interesting locations that best sets the theme of my outfit. I could easily place a large mirror in my closet and take daily snapshots, but where is the fun in that. Instead, every time I visit downtown, I make a point to location scout  and jot down any interesting spots I want to revisit. Take for example this wall I spotted over a year back.

When I first moved to Toronto and was shopping for furniture, I fell in love with this wall. I loved the minimal design, simplicity and how well it captured the neighborhood. How? Well the neighborhood is surrounded by furniture stores that sell pieces predominantly designed by Scandinavian, French and German designers. Hence, the chair on the wall.black romper, summer

To complement  the minimal aesthetics  on the wall, I put this simple look together. We all know that when the temperature starts to warm, it’s romper season. They are fun, cool and allow a lot of ventilation.  I have been scouring the web trying to find that perfect romper that’s both modern, minimal and yes, neutral in color. I found this cute one last week and it was love at first sight. I love how soft and drapey the fabric feel plus the vintage vibe it gives off.

I love how they make my legs look incredibly long and slender (a double plus). But what cinched the deal for me was the fact that they are under $70!! You can’t get better than that to have shoes that look perfect for both on the streets and a summer festival.

When I first came to this wall, it was super warm and there was no breeze. A few hours later when we came back, it got a little chilly so I through on my trench to keep me warm and look chic at the same time.

For my accessories, I kept them simple starting with these sunnies I had been eyeing since early spring. I love the sophisticated shape and linear mirrored lens. My jewelry is from Bling Jewelry, this cute shop online that carries a wide selection of pieces at amazing price points (like seriously, aahh-maazing price points). I picked up three rings and this gorgeous necklace from them and love them. You can expect to see these pieces creep up on my blog the next few posts since I cannot stop wearing them.
