WHERE I BUY INDO-PAKISTANI OUTFITS

IndoPakistaniGreyCanvas

The first time I had to start shopping for my own indo-pakistani clothes, I was in Seattle and I had no idea where to start.

I started searching online and asked a few close friends where they shopped for their clothes. It didn’t take long for me to have a short list of where to buy, a list that became extremely handy when I got married. But shortly after I created this list, I had to start all over again when I moved to Toronto’s

I received a wave of wonderful and beautiful comments from all of you when I shared my outfits from the most recent wedding I attended. My inbox was also flooded with a large number of people requesting me to share where I purchase ready-to-wear indo-pakistani clothes so I have decided to dedicate this post to where I purchase my formal outfits.

ElanGreyCanvas

-ELAN(online)

Elan is one my favorite designers and is on the expensive side. Anytime she launches a new collection, it goes out of stock very fast. I was lucky to grab this outfit a week after she launched her new luxury pret collection, it was the last one she had available in a size small. Plus if you are looking for that perfect wedding outfit that has that wow factor (and have a big budget), Elan is one designer I highly recommend.

-MIRUSAH– (online)

Mirusah is more on affordable side of things when you are looking for indo-pakistani outfits. They are great only for ready-to-wear outfits.

-TENA DURRANI– (online)

Tena Durrani is again on the affordable side of things and they have a great selection of breathtakingly beautiful indo-pakistani outfits for all budget points and styles! I picked up a gorgeous embroidery outfit for my mother-in-law and she loved it! The material is on point and the embroidery is just perfection.

LaylaChatoorGreyCanvas

-LAYLA CHATOOR– (online)

A family friend connected me with Layla, directly, when I couldn’t find the perfect lengha for my wedding. With Layla, we custom designed the perfect lengha that became such a hit that it was the star in her runway show, a couple of weeks later during L’Oreal fashion week in UK. No surprise, I went back to Layla and added another outfit from her collection to my closet. To get anything from Layla, the best way to reach her is via Facebook Messenger.

-MISCHIEF BOUTIQUE –

This place was a lucky find when I was hunting for the perfect outfit to wear at a reception. Like Elan, Mischief is a bit on the expensive side of things but they have a beautiful selection for those special occasions. Plus, the owners of Mischief were very helpful in getting me the perfectly matching dupatta for my dusty rose pink outfit from Elan (the owner went as far as to dying the material to get the exact shade and the closest possible beadwork to match the outfit).

Where do you get your indo-pakistani outfits? Share below and let’s help each other out to find that perfect outfit we need for that special occasion.

Thank you so much!! The work on these dresses is mind blowing, all hand done – nothing machine. It takes a whole army to take a dress from sketch to something this beautiful in person. So happy to share my favorite stores that I love to shop at so anyone can get something beautiful for their special day (or just cause 😉
