It’s been three months since I had my twins and I’ve almost lost all of the pregnancy weight. Only 7 lbs to go!
But it hasn’t been so easy and celebratory. The last few months I have been feeling borderline frustrated about not being able to get back into my pre-pregnancy body. I had stacks of magazines constantly showing me celebrities looking amazing weeks after they had their baby, boasting titles like “My Body After Baby – How I lost 45-lbs in 5 weeks”. I started to wonder what I was doing wrong! It took me a while to realize that I can’t compete with them. I don’t have a full-time trainer or a nutritionist to push me back into shape. All I have is my can-do not giving up attitude.
I’m sure you already know that I schedule my life religiously. If you were to look at my calendar right now, you would see everything I need to get done identified, right down to what book I need to read with the twins (to stimulate their visual cortex and cognition). Yup, you could say that I’m extremely organized. So it’s really no surprise that I put a plan into motion just one month after giving birth; the target this time, loosing the pregnancy weight.
Two months later, I’ve lost 53-lbs! So what do you do when you drop over 90% of your pregnancy weight and feel amazing? Say it with me ladies.. You get a dress that makes you feel like a woman! This gorgeous white lace dress I picked up from Guess does exactly that for me.
I’ve always thought of Guess as my go-to place for the best cut in stone washed denim, but lately they have seriously stepped up their game. In March, I picked up this gorgeous pair of paperbag trousers and trench. Last week I picked up this beautiful white lace dress, the perfect dress to show off my new post-pregnancy body.
If you are looking for a dress that’s perfect for a wedding, date-night, or a weekend getaway trip, this dress is a must have! I styled this dress perfect for my weekend getaway to the Four Seasons Hotel Toronto with the hubs and my son. Throw on a pair of heels with straps and a beautiful designer bag.. and voila! You now have the perfect look that will have you saying “damn, I feel like a woman!”
Talking about my designer bag, lately I have been going through a major run of spring cleaning. I recently shipped off the LV Cluny bag to the wonderful folks at Love That Bag to find it a beautiful new home. This time I am sending them the LV Alma bag. I first saw the Alma around three years ago in Paris and it was love at first sight! I love how the bag appears small but it’s deceptively large inside to allow me to store everything that I need and then some.
If you have any designer bags that you want off your hands, you need to contact my friends at Love That Bag. I met these wonderful folks over 1.5 years ago when I was looking for the perfect shop to sell my large YSL Sac Du Jour. They found it a new home within three months and the commission was nice and low (significantly less than their competitors). It’s no surprise that I went back to them to find a new home for this beautiful Celine bag. Now I’m looking for a new home for this LV Alma bag.
