KEEP CALM AND PROTECT YOUR SKIN

Okay, I’ll admit, I have been dying to use that title since I saw the ‘Keep Calm’ t-shirts and signs floating around awhile back. And this post is perfect since I’ve recently switched up my routine to try a different line of products from AVEENO®.

I don’t think I have shared one painful detail of what my skin goes through during the winter time. With the constant flux of extreme temperatures my face gets exposed to, my sensitive skin gets incredibly irritated and I start noticing slight redness around my nose and mouth. All these years, I’ve actually carried a canister of water spray to help hydrate my skin (I kid you not!). I would apply moisturizers, but they’ve hardly helped.

I usually request my regular go-to items, but this time I wanted to get first-hand experience trying something that would help me tackle this problem that I have been secretly battling. So, I requested the ULTRA-CALMING® line.

I swapped my usual cleanser for the AVEENO® ULTRA-CALMING® Foaming Cleanser and found a difference in the first week! My skin no longer felt tight and dry after cleansing my face. In fact, I found it so gentle that I could use it three times a day (once in the morning, once in the afternoon after I take off my makeup and the last time I use it is right before bed). It’s formulated with oat and calming feverfew, a naturally-derived ingredient similar to chamomile, making it perfect to help reduce the appearance of redness around my nose and cheeks.

Remember in my Instagram story how I mentioned I always apply a serum followed by moisturizer and sunscreen before I put on my makeup? I’m still using my AVEENO® Absolutely Ageless™ Intensive Renewal Serum (my absolute favorite!), but I swapped my moisturizer and sunscreen for a two-in-one product: AVEENO® ULTRA-CALMING® Daily Moisturizer Mineral SPF 30.

This moisturizer with SPF feels incredibly light on my skin and I found I have to use very little of it to go a long way. With most moisturizers containing SPF, I need a whole pump to apply all over my face. For this product, half a pump goes a long way to soothe my skin – it’s so light and fast absorbing!

Bye bye redness, bye bye tight skin, and bye bye irritating itchy skin!
