I don’t know about you, but having spent all my vacation days at home and work right through them in 2020, I am in need for some time out from work, unplug and just be present with my family…NOT AT HOME. hehe
Basically, I need a proper vacation!
I need to get away somewhere that’s far from the city, somewhere that’s quiet, and somewhere that’s within the province since I cannot travel outside of my own province. I want to travel to a location that makes me feel safe, and I can also be safe for the locals (meaning not interact with them outside of curbside pickups).
Last week I ran a poll with you asking if you wanted me to find a place that you can rent in Ontario. More than 95% of you said YES and a large number of you requested the place to be remote and not close to anyone so you can be safe and keep everyone safe around you.
So, today I have a list of some beautiful properties you can rent directly from the owner, via airbnb).
All of these properties require a car to get to, a car to see your nearest neighbors (please don’t) and best of all, encourage you to do curbside pick up at local restaurants so you can race back to your cute cottage and enjoy the meal without wearing your mask around your neck.

I was lucky to find a few properties that range from cottages, restored farmhouses, to waterfront homes. Some hidden gems come with a private pool (year) and others come with direct access to a lake.
