Finding your perfect handbag can seem like an overwhelming task. Not only are there hundreds of designers to chose from, there are also varying price points, styles, materials, colours, sizes, straps, pockets, and closures (just to name a few). I couldn’t even tell you how much time I’ve spent browsing the latest handbag trends. Listen, I’m openly admitting that I have a handbag problem.. But for some reason I don’t really feel bad about it (haha). Let me tell you why..
I’ve always been a handbag fanatic, I literally used to dream about owning a designer bag.
While I was in university I was very tight on funds (surprising, right?) but I was determined to get my hands on a designer handbag. It took me three years to save for my very first designer bag! To me, owning a designer bag signified something more than just status or style. It was a representation of my drive, focus, and determination. To this day, I associate my designer bags with how far I have come and how far I can go.
Although owning designer bag signifies something very personal for me, of course, handbags are essentially fundamental pieces to any look. But don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that you need to spend $1500 on a designer bag in order to have a great outfit. There are some beautiful bags out there that cater to many different price points. Like this gorgeous bag, a piece from Scarleton , that I picked up from Amazon for under $50! Incorporating a great handbag into your look has the ability to add a “je ne said quoi” to your outfit, no matter how much you spent on it! It all comes down to how you style it.
Here are some top picks on my wish list…
